Nitros Oxide is a alien obsessive love for speed from planet Gasmoxia which is the always has his antagonistic appearance in racing games (except Crash Tag Team Racing). He's narcissistic, disgusted with pure cleanliness and member of Emperor Velo's imperial court.

Characteristic

Oxide is a alien with the appearance of a green mantis, yellow stripes on head, yellow-orange sacs on head edges, red eyelids, yellow eyeballs, red iris, light tone snout, dark tone lips, sharp teeths, exhaust pipes on nape, big arms, 3 fingers and four legs with 2 toes. His outlift is a purple rompers in various shades with popped collar.

History

Racing games

According to the comics, Oxide and his cronies Zam & Zem come home in Gasmoxia after winning another race turning into a parking lot (like the other planets that he traveled). His plans for conquest is milky way where he conquers all the planets in that galaxy, but he is furious when he saw a poster realizing that he did not conquer all the planets.

In Crash Team Racing, Oxide goes to Earth where he prepares a contest for the earthlings called Survival of the Fastest to put the prize on the planet. He discovers that are 8 racers (Crash Bandicoot, Coco Bandicoot, Polar, Pura, Dr. Neo Cortex, N. Gin, Tiny and Dingodile), sends his sentries to hand over the 4 keys to someone to have the honor of losing (Ripper Roo, Papu Papu, Komodo Joe and Pinstripe) for him and analyzes all circuits. When it's his turn, Oxide tries to win cheating when starting before going green, using TNT Crates, beakers, Nitro Craters and Bombs. Defeated by first time, he proposes another challenge which is collect all his Time Relics. Oxide has a fury attack in his last defeat where he finally leaves the Earth for good.

In Crash Nitro Kart, Nitros Oxide is leader of Team Oxide under the Velo's tutelage. Supposedly, Oxide who informed the galactic emperor about the earthlings racing skills.

Other games

In fourth game, Oxide appears as male and female N. Tropy's hostage to take them on Bermugula's Orbit.

Triva

• His name is pun from Nitrous oxide.
• His dialogue in Nitro Fueled intro cutscene has been changed so he says that the Earth's population would become his minions rather than slaves.
  • This is the same with Uka Uka which that when Crash defeated N. Tropy, the same have placed all in grave danger rather than risk.
