“Oh, Crash. The farmer's market is tomorrow, and my Wumpa trees won't grow, for my orchard is riddled with Greedy Worms. If you rid my land of these pests, I'll give you this Power Crystal.”
Farmer Ernest, Crash Twinsanity

Worms, also named Greedy Worms,[1] are a type of enemy in Crash Twinsanity. They are large, mutated green worms with a pair of teeth and red eyes. Worms are only found on N. Sanity Island, where they poke out from holes in the ground, so Worms are only ever shown by the upper half of their body. They have a white underbelly and small, white appendages, although both are depicted as green in their artwork.

If Crash gets near a Worm, it tries to bite him. Crash can sometimes bounce on a Worm to reach higher areas. If he Body Slams a Worm, it retreats underground and pops out from a nearby hole. After a few seconds, the Worm moves back to the hole from which it originally appeared. Crash cannot defeat Worms by himself, but only by using Twin Slam, in which he slams them using Neo Cortex's head.

Worms are first encountered in Jungle Bungle. The first time one is seen is when Cortex does a Body Slam on one, and text briefly appears on-screen to show a brief tutorial on performing a Body Slam. After this, the Worm pops back out of its initial hole. Crash can bounce on the Worm to land on top of a tall stone pillar and collect the level's Green Gem. He must then Body Slam the Worm, follow it to the other hole, and bounce on it again, followed by three more Worms, to reach a high area and continue.

In Totem Hokum, Crash must Body Slam a Worm through many holes in the tribesman's village to rescue Cortex, who has been tied to a totem pole by Papu Papu. Once Crash has got the Worm to appear from the hole next to the totem pole, he must bounce on it to reach Cortex. Later, many Worms are encountered at Farmer Ernest's farm where the Worms have caused the Wumpa Trees to stop growing. Ernest requests them to defeat the Worms and offers a Power Crystal as a reward. This triggers a short minigame in which the objective is for Crash and Cortex to use Twin Slam on 15 Worms, which appear from five holes placed next to one another, within 39 seconds. Once every Worm has been defeated, a few Wumpa Trees grow from the ground.
