Gem Shards are an item in Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced.

Location and uses[edit]

Gem Shards appear in certain levels. They are the fragments of the red, blue, and green Gems, as their name would suggest. Crash Bandicoot needs to collect the Gem Shards to access the last three levels, Wild Nile Ride, 101 Arabian Kites, and Fire Walker, which are unlocked by collecting every red, blue, and green Gem Shard, respectively. Each of these levels has a complete Gem of the same color.
