Castle Cortex[1][2], referred to as Cortex Castle in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, is a recurring location in the Crash Bandicoot franchise.
Features and overview[edit]
Castle Cortex is owned by Dr. Neo Cortex, since its first appearance in Crash Bandicoot. Castle Cortex is a castle located on an island titled Cortex Island, and its electricity appears to be sourced from Cortex Power, a power factory on the island.
In Crash Bandicoot, Crash's main goal is to reach Castle Cortex and rescue his girlfriend, Tawna Bandicoot. During the final battle against Neo Cortex, the castle is on fire, and is destroyed.
In Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, remnants of the castle appear in the levels Road to Ruin and Ruination.
