The Nitro Squad is a group that first appears in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, a remake of Crash Team Racing, formed by Tawna Bandicoot, Ami, Liz, Isabella, and Megumi; female anthropomorphic bandicoots of different nationalities. Due to the Nitro Squad first appearing in a racing game, each member is described as a proficient motorsport racer, from which racing suit-wearing variants of each member can be played as in the game.
Four of the five members of the Nitro Squad, being Ami, Liz, Isabella, and Megumi, were created for the original Crash Team Racing as non-playable characters, being motorsports models present at award ceremonies in the game, most commonly seen when a player gets a trophy.
