Icicles are a recurring object in the Crash Bandicoot franchise
Location and uses[edit]
Icicles are frozen water drops that appear in ice-themed areas. They are pointed obstacles that frequently drop from the ceiling, and Crash takes damage if hit by one.
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back[edit]
In Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, their first appearance, icicles appear in the sidescrolling areas of two levels, Snow Biz and Cold Hard Crash. Whenever Crash approaches an icicle, it drops from the ceiling and then shatters upon impact with the ground or an object. If an icicle falls onto a TNT Crate, it activates. If Crash is hit by an icicle, he either takes damage or loses a life if Aku Aku is not by his side.
Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage[edit]
In Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage, icicles appear as obstacles in the arctic-themed hub area, Arctic Cliffs.
Crash Twinsanity[edit]
In Crash Twinsanity, icicles retain their role from their debut appearance. They first appear at the start of Ice Climb, where Crash comes across a snow arch with three icicles above. If he ges too close, the icicles fall and shatter.
Crash: Mind over Mutant[edit]
In Crash: Mind over Mutant, icicles appear in parts of the Frozen Coast, mainly the climbing segments, where they fall every few seconds between gaps that Crash must jump across. A pair of icicles are also located on the path to the Evil Public School.
