TNT Crates are recurring explosive crates in the Crash Bandicoot franchise, and they first appear in Crash Bandicoot. In the adventure titles, when Crash Bandicoot touches a TNT Crate, this causes a three-second countdown. Afterward, the TNT Crate explodes, and Crash must keep away from the blast radius to avoid taking damage. If Crash attacks a TNT Crate, it explodes, and Crash gets injured from the explosion.
In Crash Team Racing and Crash Nitro Kart, if a driver drives into a TNT Crate, it attaches itself to their kart and explodes after a few seconds. The racer can avoid this by passing the TNT Crate to another racer before it explodes.
