Chick Gizzard Lips or just simply Chick, is a rooster news reporter for XYZ News (a parody of real world news channel ABC News). He is often seen alongside his fellow avian newscaster, Stew. He first appears in Crash Tag Team Racing and returns as the presenter for the CTR TV Grand Prix videos and as a playable character in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.
Chick’s feathers are light yellow and he has red plumage. His outfit is a light blue suit with the XYZ logo on its shirt pocket. Chick always carries a microphone, even when driving.
History
Crash Tag Team Racing
In Crash Tag Team Racing, Chick first appears alongside Stew in the opening cutscene, where they report on the news of the farewell race at Von Clutch's MotorWorld. He appears in other cutscenes then after, notably giving Team Bandicoot the deed to MotorWorld in the ending cutscene. He can be seen as a NPC in the Midway.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
In Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, Chick co-hosts CTR TV along with Stew, providing commentary on the new items. He makes his debut as a playable character in the Winter Festival Grand Prix, along with Stew. He is a Balanced type character and can be purchased in the Pit Stop for 1,500 Wumpa Coins.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time
In Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, Chick makes a cameo appearance alongside Stew in Coco's epilogue picture in the 100% ending, commentating on the Esports game that Coco has won against Nina Cortex.
