Aku Aku, sometimes spelled Aku-Aku is the spirit of an old witch doctor in the form of a wooden voodoo mask, and the twin brother of Uka Uka. He is the secondary protagonist of the Crash Bandicoot franchise, and assists Crash Bandicoot and his friends on their adventures. The player can free Aku Aku from an Aku Aku crate, and he allows them to sustain another hit from an enemy or obstacle, after which Aku Aku leaves them. When the player collects a third Aku Aku mask, they will become temporary invincible. His role is comparable to Sparx from the Spyro franchise. He is pure good from Crash franchise.
