The Le Chaux is a recurring kart in the Crash Bandicoot franchise.
Location and uses[edit]
It is based on a Le Mans Prototype car and is yellow with blue stripes and a blue spoiler on the back. Its name is a combination of Le Mans, after the Le Mans Prototype cars it's based on, and chaux, the French word for lime, a reference to its lime yellow color.
Crash Tag Team Racing[edit]
The Le Chaux[1] first appears in Crash Tag Team Racing as Pasadena's tier 3 car, obtained from completing Pasadena's Red State Rewards mission where you purchase the car for 3,500 Wumpa Coins. It is Pasadena's Handling-type car.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled[edit]
The Le Chaux reappears in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled as a kart set. Its body is redesigned, now resembling an Audi R10 TDI, with a new sidepod design, the pipe on the driver's chair removed, the back louvres replaced with scoops, and a detached spoiler; the body was also resized to fit kart proportions and adapted into a one-seater. The blue vertical stripe running along its body is now incorporated into the Contour decal for the set's kart body. It also sports a new set of wheels with black rims and a blue ring around them. The yellow and blue parts of the Le Chaux use the primary and secondary colors of a paint job, and the exhaust pipes use the tertiary color. The Le Chaux Yellow paint job features the original primary, secondary, and tertiary colors of the Le Chaux with its decal color likewise being a light blue.
The Le Chaux kart set was introduced in the Nitro Tour Grand Prix at the price of 4,500 Wumpa Coins, with extra decals being available in the Pit Stop for 500 Wumpa Coins. It later made a reappearance in the Spooky Grand Prix. A bundle of decals for the Le Chaux was introduced in the Neon Circus Grand Prix for 1,125 Wumpa Coins.
Other appearances[edit]
The Le Chaux makes an appearance in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D as the kart Nitros Oxide drives in races. It also appears in its sequel, Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2, as Ripper Roo's kart.
