Wumpa Coin

Wumpa Coins are a type of currency used in both Crash Tag Team Racing and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. As with typical in-game currency, they are used to unlock content.

In Crash Tag Team Racing, Wumpa Coins are used to buy Power Crystals, character skins, and cars from Park Drones. A tire with wings is pictured on one side, and a checkered flag is depicted on the other. Crash can find Wumpa Coins all over Von Clutch's MotorWorld. There are many different ways for Crash to obtain Wumpa Coins, mainly by completing a race course or minigame challenge. Crash can also obtain a few Wumpa Coins by destroying crates or by defeating Ninja Penguins. If Crash is under the temporary effect of Wumpa Whip, any Wumpa Coins that he collects is multiplied by two. If Crash completes a certain event in the Midway or one of the other five areas, all of the collected Wumpa Coins, along with used Wumpa Whips and crates, are reset in that area specifically.

In Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, Wumpa Coins are only obtained by completing races and other challenges. They can unlock content from the Pit Stop. Certain content could be unlocked there during limited-time Grand Prix events, although most of the content would later be reinstated in a later Grand Prix or in Post-Grand Prix.
