Dr. Neo Cortex is the final level of the Future Location and twenty-sixth level overall, as well as the finel boss in Crash Bandicoot: Warped and its remake. Crash must defeat Cortex in order to progress. Uka Uka also appears as an obstacle, fighting Aku Aku around the level. Similar to other boss levels, a new power-up can be obtained, that being the Speed Shoes.
Overview[edit]
As Uka Uka and Aku Aku battle, Crash will battle Cortex, who is on his hoverboard similar to his final battle in Crash Bandicoot. Cortex has a shield around while he fights. Cortex will fire energy blasts from his ray gun at Crash, while Aku Aku and Uka Uka impede Crash's path with their fighting (A laser between them, spinning around, and clashing together). After evading both the masks, energy blasts, and mines thrown by Cortex, Crash can then attack Cortex when his shield disappears. Cortex will then fall to the ground, helpless, and Crash must spin him in the center of the arena where he falls. Cortex's hoverboard and Uka Uka will both go down into the center to retrieve Cortex to repeat his attack patterns. When Crash defeats Cortex (and by extension, Uka Uka), the ending cutscene will play.
